Welp kiddies, it’s official. Stephenie Meyer is NOT being sued over the production of New Moon, nor did she ever have a roommate named Heidi (?). The World’s Worst Author whined on her blog the other day, telling fans:
I am not being sued. No one has contacted me or my publisher to inform either of us that I’m being sued. I never had a roommate named Heidi. There is no professor in the BYU English department named Dr. Peter Benton (though there is a character on ER by that name). And most of all, I began writing Twilight exactly the way I’ve told people in countless interviews and events for the past six years: I had a cool dream, I wrote it down, writing it down was really fun, so I kept writing until I had a whole book.

STEPHENIE MEYER ROCKS. if you don’t think so, please keep your opinion to yourself. nobody says “oh j.k. rowling copied sm!” there almost NOTHING the same about the two series’. they are both science fiction….but there is no sorcerers or anything in twilight and there is no vampires stuggling for love. that is not the least bit what harry potter is about. again- nothing the same. almost nothing. i checked. 3 times. i read them ALL three times. nothing. absoloutley nothing. got it? she is a great author. ever read the books? no? didnt think so. so who are you to be critizing her writing skills if you HAVENT EVEN READ THE BOOKS? that is just not right.
Comment by Ness June 24, 2009 @ 12:50 amAnd just in case you come with your bullshit… I read the first three books, thankfully borrowed, couldn’t handle that awful writing and brainless story about an anti-feminist idiot with no personality and his vampire abuser… If you twilight fans don’t get what’s fcked up with the books then you all must have some kind of mental disadvantage =S that’s so sad

Comment by Katie August 24, 2009 @ 6:41 pmtl;dr “Please keep your opinion to yourself, while I spew mine all over the internet.”
Your claim that Twitlight is Science Fiction reveals you for the vapid psuedo-intellectual idiot that you are. I hope you remove yourself from the gene pool if you haven’t already.
Comment by Kalen September 6, 2009 @ 1:31 amBitch PLEASE, stephenie meyer is a whore… and if you have your “right” to state your opinion I do too, and so does anyone who hates on this bitch so F-U!
Comment by Rodrigo August 11, 2009 @ 2:13 amsomebody is a whore and a bitch because they wrote a book YOU don’t like? are you a freaking moron? did you just fall off the dumbass truck? are you riding the asshole train? what are you, in the third grade? grow the hell up. she is making money off the books, and obviously people like them. just because you don’t doesn’t make you an expert on what is good literature. it’s a fantasy novel, none of it will happen in real life anyway, dumbass. get over it!
Comment by Vanessa December 20, 2009 @ 8:17 pmI hear Rodrigo has a wooden eye.

Everyone does have a right to their opinions. I stumbled upon this post and comments and what is really sad is when people are such haters. It is okay to like it – it os okay to not like it. Not everyone is the same and that is okay – it is more than okay it is good!
Comment by Deb September 17, 2009 @ 8:24 pmMuch as I am loathe to share my thoughts in a place where they are likely to be disrespected, I have this to say to the author of the post: I’m not sure why you would consider Stephenie Meyer’s blog post to be whining. She’s merely stating the facts from her perspective – that she did not plagiarize any part of the Twilight story, nor has there been any lawsuit regarding said nonexistent plagiarism.
What the deuce? You believe her to be the world’s worst author and yet are still checking in on her blog (only to put her down by calling her “whiny”). This stinks of a superiority complex…
Comment by Lainey October 5, 2009 @ 3:16 amI totally agree with Lainey.
Comment by Adair December 17, 2009 @ 12:50 amIt’s a goddamn book, you don’t have to get so worked up over it (both sides). I read it, and the story line was interesting enough. It’s not a ground-breaking piece of literature, nor do I think it was ever intended to be taken seriously in any way, but to say Stephanie Meyer is whiny for stating the current situation, or the “worst author ever” is uncalled for- I’ve read worse.
j’ai beaucoup aimer votre livre !!!
